Power Plant Valve

Product overview

The main gate power plant valve(s) applied in the power industry include high pressure flexible wedge gate valves, parallel double gate valves and expanding gate valves etc. The design standard is ASME B16.34 and the body material is usually high temperature alloy steel. The valves are designed to be exposed to supercritical conditions such as high temperatures and high pressures.

Globe valves in the power industry are mainly used for shutt-off and discharge position, typically designed with small bore, high pressure and bonnetless structure.

Check valves in the power industry are mainly a swing type design. The structure is similar to the conventional check valve.

Butterfly valves in the power industry are mainly used in cold water applications, usually in low pressre and large diameter structure. Neway offers concentric and triple offset (for higher relative temperature) butterfly valves.

Ball valves in the power industry are mainly used for cooling water, air compression and drain line systems. In some cases ball valves are also applied in thermal power plants, however more often in Hydroelectric power stations.
